  • Decree No. (1) of 2015 (PDF, 99 KB, 5 pages, Arabic only) establishing and forming the Committee for Equal Opportunities in the Legislation & Legal Opinion Commission, as the committee aims to integrate the needs of employed women within the framework of equal opportunities in all areas of work in the Authority and works to achieve the principle of equal opportunities for all employees in cooperation and coordination with the Supreme Council for Women.
  • Decree No. (17) of 1999 (PDF, 161KB, 4 pages, Arabic only) approving accession to the International Labor Convention No. 159 of 1983 regarding Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Disabled Persons) The decree included approval of accession to International Labor Convention No. (159) of 1983 regarding vocational rehabilitation and employment (disabled persons).
  • Decree No. (6) of 2000 (PDF, 35.5KB, 1 page, Arabic only) ratifying the amendment of Article (8) of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination of 1965, to which the State of Bahrain is a party by Decree No. (8) of 1990 includes the ratification by the Kingdom of Bahrain of United Nations General Assembly Resolution No. (47/111) approving the amendment of paragraph (6) of Article (8) and adding a new paragraph to it under No. (7) of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination of 1965.
  • Decree No. (11) of 2000 (PDF, 180KB, 5 pages, Arabic only) ratifying International Labor Convention No. (111) of 1958 regarding discrimination in employment and occupation. The decree included the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ratification of the Convention, which requires the state parties to enable the enactment of legislation prohibiting all forms of discrimination and exclusion on any basis, including race, color, gender, religion, political opinion, national or social origin in labor legislation, and the establishment of the principle of equal opportunities.
  • Decree No. (5) of 2002 (PDF, 446KB, 13 pages, Arabic only) approving accession to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. The decree includes the accession of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Convention, which enshrines the concept of gender equality in domestic legislation, the abolition of all discriminatory provisions in the laws of the state parties, and the need for states to take steps in eliminating all forms of discrimination practiced against women by individuals, institutions, and organisations.
  • Law No. (15) of 2010 (PDF, 109KB, 5 pages, Arabic only) approving the amendment of Paragraph (1) of Article (20) of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. It includes approval of the amendment of Paragraph (1) of Article (20) of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, in accordance with the decision taken by the state parties of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women on 22nd May 1955, accompanying this law.
  • Decree-Law No. (70) of 2014 (PDF, 100KB, 2 pages, Arabic only) amending some provisions of Decree-Law No. (5) of 2002 approving accession to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. The amendment includes reformulating the reservations to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, and to ensure the implementation of the Convention without prejudice to the provisions of the Islamic Sharia.
  • Law No. (74) of 2006 (PDF, 109 KB, 6 pages, Arabic only) regarding the care, rehabilitation, and employment of the disabled, as the ministries and concerned authorities in coordination with the ministry, provide integrated services for the disabled such as medical, social, educational, educational, cultural, contentment and housing fields, among other fields.
  • Decree No. (12) of 2022 (PDF, 109 KB, one page, Arabic only) to replace Article (3) of Decree No. (13) of 2020, as the amendment includes the re-formation of the Equal Opportunities in the Legislative and Legal Opinion Authority.
