Inheritors Limitation and Paternity Proof Request

This service is provided by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf to Individuals requesting an official document issued by the Sunni Sharia courts which determine the degree of the inheritors of the deceased and identify the number of the rest of them alive.

   Required Documents

  1. Religious Ordinance Application Form
  2. Copy of the inheritors Religious Ordinance
  3. Copy of the Identity Cards or passports of the living inheritors

   Important notes

  • Others:
  • The applicant must disclose all the living and deceased inheritors as of the decease of the first inheritor until the last of them deceased
  • Intentionally adding a person who is not considered a legitimate inheritor of the deceased and intentionally dropped one of the inheritors, the applicant will be subject to legal repercussions
  • Inheritors who do not hold the Bahraini nationality cannot be included as inheritors unless they provide an inheritors limitation certificate ratified by the inheritors government or a letter issued by the embassies in Kingdom of Bahrain which proves the number of inheritors and the degree of relationship
  • Ensure the serial dates of death of the deceased inheritors starting from the oldest
