The Qudurat training program was launched based on the need of educating citizens on computer knowledge. The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has noted this as part of its eGovernment National Strategy - by taking the responsibility of providing free training classes for the citizens of the Kingdom. Launched in 2009 under the name ‘eCitizen’ and later renamed to Qudurat, the free-of-charge program was initiated to fill the computer literacy gap, and encourage citizens to benefit from the online services offered on Bahrain.bh.

One of the programs’ success key factors was the collaboration of various government organizations such as Ministry of Social Development and General Organization for Youths & Sports (GOYS). Another form of collaboration took place with the association of various NGOs such as Al Hekma Society for the Retirees, Awal Women's Society, and Friendship Society for the Blinds. In addition, the program was enrolled in 2014 Royal Police Academy Summer Camp.

About the Program

Bahraini citizens starting from age 7 are allowed to register without any restrictions. The training sessions are conducted by well-selected, highly-qualified and certified institutes.  The classes are conducted in different timings and several governorates to cater the need of all citizens.
The program promises to benefit participants in numerous aspects, some of which include:
