Critical Maintenance Requests – Rain Insulation Application
This service allows users to request service requirements to assist low-income families in repairing their old homes (rain insulators).
Service Conditions
- The applicant must be a Bahraini national and at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- The applicant must have owned the property for no less than 10 years, with exceptions only for emergency cases such as fire.
- The applicant’s address must match the address of the property subject to the application.
- Approval of all owners if the property is owned by more than one person.
- The applicant must have resided in the property for at least 10 years, with exceptions for emergency cases such as fire.
- The property must not be rented or leased.
- Each applicant may benefit from the project only once.
- The applicant’s income must not exceed 600 BHD (basic salary + social allowance) for regular cases, and 800 BHD for emergency cases such as fire or rain insulation works.
- The applicant must not have previously benefited from the Social Services project or the at-risk properties
- Emergency and fire cases are entitled to benefit from the service only if they have previously utilized the Rain Insulation Project.
Required Attachments
- A copy of the national ID card of the service applicant and their family, and of all property owners in case there is more than one owner, along with the smart card of the applicant.
- A copy of the property ownership document with all its attachments, provided that the document is complete with all required details.
- A copy of the legal inheritance certificate (Sharia inheritance document) in case the property owners are heirs, along with their acknowledgment.
- A recent electricity bill for the house. If the residential building consists of apartments (more than one meter), an electricity bill for each apartment must be submitted.
- A recent salary certificate stamped by the employer, not exceeding two months from the date of application.
- If the applicant is not employed, a certificate of income from the General Registry at the court must be submitted, along with a statement confirming non-enrollment in social insurance.
- A recent bank statement for three consecutive months, provided that the bank account is linked to the source of income.
- A detailed report on the applicant’s income if they own any commercial registrations.
- A copy of the lease contract showing the area of the applicant’s residential unit, in case the property includes rented shops.
