Service for requesting the payment of permanent alimony from the alimony fund

Anyone who has obtained a judgment from the Family Court granting alimony (housing, food, clothing, medical treatment) can apply to have the alimony paid from the fund if it is proven that the convict has not paid these expenses in the enforcement case, provided that the fund will later recover them from the obligor.

Service Conditions

  • Submit the application by appearing in person.

Required Attachments

  • Complete the application form.
  • A copy of the issued Sharia judgment.
  • The approved divorce document, if it includes the amount of the alimony.
  • Bahrain Islamic Bank Account (IBAN) letter.
  • A statement of continued custody.
  • A memorandum of notification of the enforcement of the judgment from the enforcement file.
  • Submit evidence of notification of the judgment debtor of the alimony judgment.
  • A certificate from the enforcement judge stating that the enforcement of the judgment has not been carried out against the debtor despite the implementation measures taken.
  • A stamped copy from the Enforcement Department of the implementation measures taken in the case.
  • A copy of the convicted person's ID, place of residence, and place of work.
  • A financial summary from the enforcement file
  • A copy of the children's IDs (in whose favor the alimony judgment was issued).

Service Processes

  • Submitting the application in person at the Sharia Court building.
  • Receive the application, enter it into the system, and prepare a legal memo.
  • Refer the application to the Head of the Alimony Fund for approval.
  • Refer the application to the decision enforcement officer and notify the client.
  • Disburse the amount.
