Customs clearance of radioactive sources - import/export

This service enables beneficiaries to submit a request to notify Customs Affairs of the Supreme Council for Environment’s non-objection to the import or export of radioactive sources or radiation-emitting devices through the “OFOQ” system, with the aim of ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements. The request can be submitted and tracked electronically.

Service Conditions

Existence of an active commercial register for company in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Required Attachments

A copy of the invoice or the shipping statement showing a detailed shipment content
A copy of the technical information (technical data, catalog, pictures...) of the material(s) to be licensed
The importer’s license and the import permit issued by the Supreme Council for Environment for the radiation emitting device or radioactive source mentioned in the invoice/shipping manifest
End-user license and use permit issued by the Supreme Council for Environment for the radiation emitting device or radioactive source mentioned in the invoice/shipping manifest
