license/ Renewal of a license to trade plastic products
This service enables beneficiaries to submit a request for a license to import, manufacture, and use plastic products, in accordance with the environmental requirements, aiming to protect the environment, health, and safety across various settings safety in various circles. The request can be submitted and tracked electronically
Service Conditions
- Existence of an active commercial register for company in the Kingdom of Bahrain
Required Attachments
- Annual production report (degradable & non-degradable materials) where applicable
- Certificate for use of biodegradable plastic logo for the factory from SASO
- Declaration to import and manufacture plastic bags with a thickness not less than 35 microns.
- Any additional documents or attachments that may be required in accordance with regulatory procedures
Legal Regulations
- Ministerial Resolution No. (11) of 2019 regarding the issuance of technical regulations for plastic products by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism.
- Ministerial Order No. (4) of 2021 regarding the fees of the licenses and services provided by the Supreme Council for Environment
- Law (7) of year 2022 regarding the environment and all ministerial decisions and laws under it
