Permanent Domestic Employees Ceiling Application Increase for Bahraini Employer
Through this service, the employer or the person who will act on his behalf (1st degree relative, or by official power of attorney, or through an authorized clearance office or employment office, or through an electronic authorization) may apply to increase the ceiling for number of work permits allowed for the domestic employees.
Service Conditions
- To verify that the applicant is the employer or the person who will act on his behalf (1st degree relative, or by official power of attorney, or through an authorized clearance office or employment office, or through an electronic authorization).
Required Attachments
(Online)
- In case of present of supporters, provide the IDs of the supporters including their signatures of a date no later than 30 days (Copies)
- A proof of the employer’s identity (at least two documents), signed no longer than 30 days from the date of submitting the application (in case the application is submitted through recruitment offices) (Copy)
(Online) In case the salary data is not available, provide one of the below:
- Salary certificate (In case the salary data is not available for military employees or for whom fixed income data received electronically from the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) is not available). (Copy)
- For business owners, a bank statement showing the applicant's income during the past three months at least. (Copy)
- For real-estate and apartment owners, attach address cards or property ownership documents accompanied by valid rental leases. (Copy)

Service Processes
- Book an appointment via Appointment Management System (AMS).
- Personal attendance by the employer or the person who will act on his behalf.
- Provide LMRA with the required documents.
- Upon approval, the employer may apply for new work permit for domestic employees.
- Login to the LMRA Expat Management System (EMS).
- Fill out the required details in the designated fields and upload the required documents.
- Once you submit the application, an application ID will be issued, and it will be sent for verification.
- You can check the application status (whether it has been approved or rejected) by: Logging on to the Expat Management System (EMS) or calling LMRA’s call centre on +973 17506055.
- If approved, the employer may apply for new work permit for domestic employees.
