Domestic Employee Change of Occupation
Through this service, the domestic employer may change the occupation of the domestic employee.
Service Conditions
- Obtaining Nurse (General) profession requires the employee to have a license to practice the profession from National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA).
- Obtaining Yachtsman profession requires providing LMRA with ownership of the yacht.

- In case of changing the profession request to a nurse, the employee must have a license to practice the profession from National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) (Copy)
- In case of changing the profession request to a yachtsman, LMRA must be provided with the ownership of the yacht (Copy)

Service Processes
- Book an appointment via Appointment Management System (AMS).
- Personal attendance by the employer or the person who will act on his behalf at any of the LMRA branches with all the required documents.
- login to the LMRA Expat Management System (EMS) and start the process of applying for change of occupation of the domestic employee.
- Fill out the required details in the designated fields and upload the required documents.
- Once you submit the application, an application ID will be issued, and it will be sent for verification.
- You can check the application status (whether it has been approved or rejected) by: Logging on to the Expat Management System (EMS) or calling LMRA’s call centre on +973 17506055.
- If approved, the domestic employee’s occupation will be changed in LMRA’s Expat Management System (EMS).
