Modification of Inspection and Ownership Certificate Data
This service allows for modification of the vehicle ownership certificate data (such as chassis number, engine number, color, change from installment to cash, make and model of the vehicle, or weight adjustment).
Service Conditions
- Settlement of all traffic fines, contraventions, and accidents (if any).
- Clearance certificate from the financing authority if the applicant wishes to change the vehicle ownership certificate data from installment to cash.
- Technical inspection approval is required in cases where changes are made to the inspection and ownership certificate data (color, chassis number, engine number, make, vehicle model, weight).
- Payment of the prescribed fees.
Required Attachments
- Valid ID card.
- Vehicle ownership certificate.
- Completed licensing division form signed by the vehicle owner; for companies or establishments: the form must be stamped and accompanied by a company letter and a copy of the commercial registration.

Fee Details:
- 6 : Fee for issuing ownership certificate
- 5 BHD to 15 : Technical inspection fee (internal: 5 BHD – external: 15 BHD) for cases requiring modification of inspection and ownership certificate data (color, chassis number, engine number, make, vehicle model, weight).

Service Processes
- Book an appointment through the National Appointment System application.
- Go to the General Directorate of Traffic – Vehicle Licensing Division or one of the external service centers, ensuring the required documents are provided.
- Verify that all required documents and conditions are met.
- Pay the prescribed fees.
- Go to the General Directorate of Traffic – Technical Inspection Division.
- Pay the technical inspection fees.
- Vehicle must be inspected if major parts have been changed.
- Pay the prescribed fees and issue the new ownership certificate.
