Electronic clearance and pledges for measuring instruments
The system allows merchant (or his representative) to make an electronic decleration of the transaction through which he brings the regulated measuring tools (weight measuring devices + height measuring devices) to the testing and Metrology Directorate in order for technical verification to be carried out. The testing & Metrology controller who monitors shipments at the bordes approves or rejects the transaction through this system.

Service Processes
- The clearing agent raises an application in the OFOQ system
- The clearing agent raises an application in the electronic clearance and pledges for measuring instruments system (https://service.moic.gov.bh/metrology)
- The application is reviewed by the controller at the ports and the documents are assessed for conformity
- In the case of having missing documents, the clearing agent is requested to provide the missing documents through email or notify the clearing agent with the approval
- Final decision on the transaction is provided in the OFOQ system
