Self-sponsorship Residence Permit and Re-entry Visa (Retired Foreigner)

Retired Foreigners can issue or renew a self-sponsorship residence permit for durations of 2, 5, or 10 years, within the applicable rules and regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Service Conditions

The application must be submitted by a guarantor or an authorized person.
Each application must be submitted separately, along with all relevant documents.

Required Attachments

A clear copy of the applicant’s passport, with a validity of more than six months.
A clear copy of the applicant's ID Card
A good conduct certificate
A clear copy of the rental lease contract and the electricity bill
A clear copy of the retirement certificate from the government or private sector, or from a GCC country, confirming a service period of no less than 15 years.
A valid medical insurance certificate issued in the Kingdom of Bahrain
Evidence of a stable income of 500 BHD or more
A copy of a previous residence permit
A statement from the Social Insurance Organization proving years of service
A Bank statement covering the last three months
