Expatriate and Domestic Employees Biometric Data Enrollment with LMRA

This service is for expatriate employees and domestic expatriate employees with work permits issued from LMRA, to complete their enrollment process for the Biometric data.

Service Processes

LMRA Branches (Expatriate Services Centres)
  • The expatriate employee should visit LMRA offices for biometric data collection (Photo, signature, and fingerprint) after LMRA’s employee verify the documents.
  • SIM cards for mobile phones are given to expatriate employees.
  • Work permits are issued, and medical appointments are generated (if needed). The data is sent to the Information & eGovernment Authority (IGA).
Bahrain International Airport
  • The expatriate employees and dependants must head to LMRA’s offices for biometric data collection (photo, signature and fingerprint).
  • Expatriate employees are provided with SIM cards for their mobile phones.
  • The expatriate employee heads to the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) for fingerprints collection and is allowed to enter after the residence permit is issued and the medical examination is scheduled.
  • The expatriate employee will be deported if he/ she holds an expired work permit or if any legal offences are registered against him/ her.
