Deletion / Cancellation of ships

This Service will allow users to obtain a deletion certificate for pleasure, fishing, dhows, and jet skies of less than 150 GT of non-commercial use

Service Conditions

  • Ships exported must undergo technical inspection of the boat in order to obtain ship safety certificate

Circumstances to obtain a Deletion / Cancellation certificate:

  • Damage
  • Selling and Exportation abroad
  • Registration under a different flag

Required Attachments

Requirements to delete fishing, pleasure and Dhows of non-commercial:

  • Copy of valid CPR
  • Reason for deletion with supported documents (Notarized Bill of sale, Statement of completion of scrapping, Registration certificate under a different flag)
  • Release of mortgage certificate for mortgaged vessels.
  • Receipt of cancellation of AIS device from Coast Guards

Following procedures:

  • Surrendering the original name plate
  • Completion and passing the technical inspection of the boat in order to obtain ship safety certificate in case of exportation of vessels.

Legal Regulations

  • Ministerial Resolution No. (2) of 2021 regarding registration and safety conditions and procedures for obtaining a navigation license for small ships whose gross tonnage is less than one hundred and fifty tons

Fees

  • 5 BD : Boats Up to 21ft and conventional boats
  • 10 BD : Boats More than 21ft - Up to 35ft
  • 15 BD : Boats More than 35ft
