Navigation Permit
This Service will allow users to apply for navigation permits for captains/sailors onboard non-commercial vessels of less than 105 GT
Service Conditions
- It is prohibited by law to maneuver any boat registered under the Bahraini Flag without obtaining a valid navigation permit issued in accordance with the laws and regulations
- All applicants should be 18 years of age
- Navigation Permit issued for captains and workers onboard fishing boats licensed by Fisheries at Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs
Categories of Navigation Permits issued for pleasure boats:
- less than 36 ft
- More than 36 ft (Requires special training)
- Dhows
Required Attachments
Requirements to obtain Navigation Permit for pleasure boats:
- Copy of valid CPR
- Recent clear photo of applicant
- Training evidence approved by the Administration for Yachts of 36 ft or More
- Signed declaration of seafarers awareness instructions
Legal Regulations
- Ministerial Resolution No. (2) of 2021 regarding registration and safety conditions and procedures for obtaining a navigation license for small ships whose gross tonnage is less than one hundred and fifty tons
