Issue, renew, or replace a lost or damaged Identity Card for GCC Residents

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) residents & investors in the Kingdom of Bahrain can issue, renew or replace a Bahraini ID card, subject to the terms and conditions.

Service Conditions

  • Proof of residency in the Kingdom of Bahrain is required.
  • The applicant must own a house or property in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • The applicant must be an investor in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • The female applicant must be married to a Bahraini.
  • The male applicant must be married to a Bahraini wife, or is a father to her children.
  • The applicant must be employed or is studying in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Required Attachments

  • Personal attendance (required for children aged 10 and above).
  • A valid passport.
  • The photo must be a recent coloured photo with a white background.
  • The electricity bill or an address statement from the Municipality or an acknowledgment of residence.
  • If the applicant has children studying in schools in Bahrain, a letter must be presented verifying their school enrolment from the Ministry of Education.
