Permit/Renewal of Permit for Dewatering to the Sea
This service enables beneficiaries to submit a request for the review and issuance or renewal of permits for the discharge of water resulting from excavation works (based on the discharge location) into the marine environment, ensuring that the discharge operations comply with the environmental requirements and regulations. The request can be submitted and tracked electronically.
Service Conditions
- Having an active commercial register (for commercial use) in the Kingdom of Bahrain
Required Attachments
- A duly completed application form EA-8
- A map indicating the location and area of the land associated with the project.
- A map indicating the location of the discharge point.
- A valid copy of the commercial registration CR of the contractor responsible for the construction works, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
- A QR code accurately indicating the location of the discharge point on Google Maps.

- Ministerial Resolution No. (3) of 2021 regarding environmental standards for water.
- Law (7) of year 2022 regarding the environment and all ministerial decisions and laws under it
- Ministerial Order No. 1 of 1998 regarding the environmental assessment of projects
- Ministerial Order No. (4) of 2021 regarding the fees of the licenses and services provided by the Supreme Council for Environment
- Administrative Decision No. (11) of Year 2022 regarding the procedures to implement Order No. (3) of Year 2021 concerning the environmental standards for water.
