Licensing of sports events
Issuing approval to hold any sporting events or events organized by any of the institutions, companies, clubs, sports federations, the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Bahraini Paralympic Sports Committee, or any of the private bodies working in the field of youth and sports as set forth in the Social and Cultural Associations, Clubs and Operating Private Bodies Act In the field of youth, sports and private institutions, promulgated by Legislative Decree No. (21) of 1989.
Service Conditions
- Submiting the application 6 weeks prior to the date of the event with all the required documents.
Required Attachments
- Sports event licensing form / hosting tournaments.
- Sports facilities reservation form and terms of use.
- Technical and financial approval from the Olympic / Paralympic Committee.
- The organizer of the event specifies the services required from the official authorities to facilitate the holding of the event (for example, a request to provide an ambulance, a request to provide officers, etc...)
- Attachments and other documents ( Depending on the event to be organized, for example, running, triathlon and cycling events, the event route will be requested).

- Resolution No. (1) of 2021 with respect to the regulation of holding sporting events and activities.

Service Processes
- Receipt of the application by e-mail within a period of not less than 6 weeks from the date of the event.
- Ensuring that the application fulfills all conditions and confirming the requirements.
- If the application fulfills the conditions, the application will be sent to the other concerned authorities for approvals.
- Receiving the response of the concerned authorities.
- Notify the applicant of approval or rejection.
- Licensing and recording the event in the sports calendar, if approved.
