Apply for a registered worker permit 

A service to issue a permit allowing the practice of a professional activity (registered worker) and obtaining a work permit card, by submitting the application through the approved registration centers

Service Conditions

  • Worker must be present in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and whose permit has expired or was cancelled before the decision was implemented.
  • Flexi permit holders.
  • Workers with no criminal records or absconding offenses.
  • Workers who are not in violation of their contracts.
  • Visit Visa holders are not eligible.

Required Attachments

  • Fill out the Registered Worker Permit Service Form PDF (1.02 MB)
  • Passport copy must be valid for at least 6 months.
  • An official document proving the International Account Number (IBAN).
  • Certificates and professional qualifications approved by the applicant’s embassy (if any).

Legal Regulations

  • This permit is issued in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (19) of 2006 regarding regulating the labour market and its amendments. This permit is issued by the Authority to an alien as a foreign employer acting on his or her behalf and on his or her own behalf in accordance with articles (1, 30, 31 and 32).
  • Resolution No. (1) of 2022 regarding assigning some tasks of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority to labor registration centers Article Five

  • 377 BD : Service Fees for a one-year registered worker permit.
  • 5 BD : Admin fees
  • 509 BD : Fees for a two-year registered worker permit.
  • 15 BD : Monthly fees

Service Processes

  • The permit must be applied for by the staff centers.
  • The application must be submitted and attached in the application.
  • The registration center submits a permit application to the Labor Market Regulatory Authority.
  • The Labor Market Regulatory Authority evaluates and audits submitted applications.
  • Passports, citizenship, and residency are transmitted for scrutiny.
  • Issuance of an appointment for the worker to request a permit to receive a work permit card.
  • Collection of Biometric data and issuance of a medical examination appointment for the worker.
  • Hand over a mobile phone and give an introductory Session to him.
  • Receipt of the work permit card.
Payment of Fees
  • Bahrain Financial Company (BFC).
  • Benefit Pay application through Fawateer service (monthly fee of 60 BD credit for return insurance).
