Request a Work Permit During the Summer Curfew
This service is provided by the Ministry of Works to Businesses executing works affairs projects wishing to obtain a work during the Summer Curfew in July & August in order to be able to safely carry out all Emergency works under the supervisions of the MOW and approve by the Ministry’s Safety and security section with the permission of the Ministry of Labor safety directorate.
Service Conditions
READINESS
- The contractors must be pre-qualified, and the safety officer must be approved by Ministry of Works.
- The contractors must take the necessary precautions to protect the workers from damages caused by sun rays.
Required Attachments
- Work Permit application during the summer curfew period
- Certificates and qualifications of the safety officer authorized by the Safety and Security section of the Ministry of Works
- Scope of Works Document/ reasons for the emergency work (Justification and Type of Emergency Activities)
- Specific Method statement and Risk Assessment Document for each activity
- Engineering drawings showing the exact location of the required work.
- Emergency organization chart with mobile no’s with procedures.
- Summer restriction precautions and welfare activities to be implement at site.
- Valid first aid training certificate and license, and any other related MOL-approved Third-Party Certificates.
- Fire Fighting Systems & Fire Marshals.
- Total manpower involved in these activities.

Service Processes
- Applicant: Visit the Ministry of Works website, to request obtaining Emergency work permits During the Summer Curfew, through filling the application form and submit it along with all the required documents and information.
- Ministry of Works: Review the application to ensure the completeness of documents of taking the necessary precautions to protect the workers from damages caused by sun rays. In case the submitted documents and information are not complete, the applicant will be notified by email to ask for the missing documents.
- Ministry of Works: In case the submitted documents and information are complete, the applicant will be notified by email.
- Applicant: Visit the Ministry of Works website to collect the permit.
- Ministry of Works: After all requirements are met, the information of the Emergency work permit will be sent to the Ministry of Labor.
