Requests for contractor qualifications

This service is provided by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to private sector establishments wishing to be included in the list of approved contractors to execute the Ministry's projects.

Required Attachments

  • Contractors Qualification Form
  • Commercial Registration (CR)
  • A copy of the curriculum vitae (CV) and academic certificates of technicians and engineers
  • Engineers license (CRPEP)
  • Equipment, machines and devices available at the company
  • Bank Statements
  • Audited financial reports for the last three years, including the balance sheet, if available
  • Contracts and the certificate of expiry of contracts for projects that have been completed within the last (3) years in the category to be qualified for (including the highest valued project)
  • Bahrainisation Certificate from Ministry of Labour
  • Invoice of the insurance account for the past 2 months from the Social Insurance Organization (GOSI Statement)
  • CVs and certifications for security and safety personnel (Managing Safety from IOSH or NEBOSH)
  • Quality Certificate (ISO & OHSAS) according to the technical standards of the required category
  • Organization Chart
  • Memorandum of Association (MoA)
  • In the event that the company submits in the electricity category, it is required to submit a license authorized by the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) for the company, the engineers and technicians

Service Processes

  • Applicant: Visit the website of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to download the qualification form and the technical and financial criteria for the selected category
  • Applicant: register on the website and pay the required fees.
  • Ministry of Work s: A reference number is issued to the applicant to facilitate the application process through the website
  • Applicant: Fill out the form and upload it, signed and stamped, with all the documents and information requested through the website
  • Ministry of Works: Review the form and ensure that is complete along with all required documents and information
  • If the required documents and information have not all been submitted, the application will be returned to the applicant to complete the missing documents and information
  • Ministry of Works: If the required documents and information have all been submitted, the application is reviewed by the relevant technical department and committee, and the necessary approvals are issued
  • Ministry of Works: Send the request to the Tender Board for final approval.
  • Ministry of Works: In the event of approval by the Council, the applicant will be notified of the Council’s approval of the application to pay the final fees and receive the qualification certificate from the main building of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning
