Contractor Prequalification Request

This service is provided through Ministry of Works to contractors who are seeking inclusion in the list of qualified contractors approved by the Tender Board for participation in Ministry of Works Tenders.

Service Conditions

EXPERIENCE

  • As per the Ministry's pre-qualification technical criteria approved by Tender Board

FINANCIALS

  • Audited Financial reports for the last three years which must comply with the Ministry's pre-qualification financial criteria approved by Tender Board

READINESS

  • According to the requirement mentioned in the Pre-qualification Form.

OTHER

  • Prequalification process is conducting through the Ministry of Works prequalification electronic system, the prequalification application will take an average period of 7 weeks to be processed and completed, the company must make sure that all the required documents are available and that it satisfy the desired category/grade criteria before paying the application fees, all the information and guidelines related to the prequalification service are available on the Ministry of Works.

  • A copy of the curriculum vitae and academic certificates for technicians and engineers
  • Engineers license (CRPEP)
  • Equipment, machines and devices available at the company
  • Bank Statements
  • Audited financial reports for the last three years, including the balance sheet, if any
  • Contracts and certificate of expiry of contracts for projects that have been completed within the last (3) years in the category to be qualified for, including the highest value project).
  • Bahrainisation Certificate from Ministry of Labour
  • GOSI Statement of Account for the last two months
  • Security and safety personnel with CVs and certificate (Managing Safety from IOSH or NEBOSH)
  • Quality Certificate (ISO & OHSAS) according to the technical standards of the required category
  • Organization Chart
  • Memorandum of Association
  • In case the company submits for the electricity category, it is required to submit the license authorized by the Electricity and Water Authority for the company, the engineers and technicians

  • Prequalification Certificate fees determine according to the category and grade as stated in the Ministerial decree no. 9 for the year 2017 which was published in the national gazette on 22 June 2017 : Prequalification Fees

Service Processes

  • Applicant: Visit the website of the Ministry of Works to download the qualification form and the technical and financial criteria for the selected category
  • Applicant: register on the website and pay the required fees.
  • Ministry of Work s: A reference number is issued to the applicant to facilitate the application process through the website
  • Applicant: Fill out the form and upload it, signed and stamped, with all the documents and information requested through the website
  • Ministry of Works: Review and ensure the completeness of the form and the required documents and information.
  • Ministry of Works: If the required documents and information have not all been submitted, the application will be returned to the applicant to complete the missing documents and information
  • Ministry of Works: If the required documents and information have all been submitted, the application is reviewed by the relevant technical department and committee, and the necessary approvals are issued
  • Ministry of Works: Send the request to the Tender Board for final approval.
  • Ministry of Works: In case of approval, the applicant will be notified of the Council’s approval of the application to pay the final fees and receive the qualification certificate from the main building of the Ministry of Works.
  • Ministry of Works: In case of rejection, the applicant can view the status online using the reference number issued by Ministry of Works.
