Pre-consultation for building permits
This service is provided by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to individuals, private sector establishments, public entities, and NGOs requesting consultations before submitting a building permit application.
Required Attachments
- An official request letter addressed to the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning
- Property deed/survey certificate
- Aerial map of the property or project
- Quantity and type (domestic or industrial) of the discharge flows generated by the facility, and the industrial effluent, along with an attached list of the chemicals and their concentration
- Initial project maps
- The expected date of completion for the project’s construction works

Service Processes
- The applicant: Submit the application with all required documents and information through one of the approved channels Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning:
- Review the application and ensure that it has fulfilled all of the requirements. If the required documents and information have been included, the applicant will be notified to take the necessary action
- If all the required documents and information have been submitted and the letter has been submitted to the Directorate, the applicant will be provided with a reference number
- Send an official letter detailing the requirements for the Building Permit to the applicant
