New Vessel Registration
This Service will allow users to register new pleasure boats or Dhows of less than 150 GT of non-commercial use.
Service Conditions
- All small ships are prohibited to sail under the Bahraini flag before obtaining a registration certificate issued in accordance with the law and regulations
Pleasure Boat
- ships used by individuals for sea excursion, fishing, diving or other marine activities of non commercial nature
Required Attachments
- Completed and signed form
- Certificate of origin
- Write-off certificate and sales contract
- Customs declaration (for ships)
- Identity Card
- Installed ship nameplate
- Installed Automatic Identification System (AIS)
- Completed the ship inspection
- Valid fishing license
Requirements to register pleasure boats and Dhows of non commercial use for the first time
- Copy of valid CPR
- Copy of Builder Certificates for locally built ships
- Deletion certificate, builder certificate and bill of sale for imported ships
- Customs declaration for imported ships attested by “No Objection to register in Ports & Maritime Affairs” stamp
- Mortgage deed for mortgaged ships
- Fishing permit from Fisheries at Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs for fishing boats
Legal Regulations
- Ministerial Resolution No. (2) of 2021 regarding registration and safety conditions and procedures for obtaining a navigation license for small ships whose gross tonnage is less than one hundred and fifty tons
Fees
- Boats Up to 21ft and conventional boats : 7 BD
- Boats More than 21ft - Up to 35ft : 14 BD
- Boats More than 35ft : 21 BD
