Transfer of Ownership
This Service will allow users to transfer the ownership of pleasure boats or Dhows of less than 150 GT (non-commercial)
Service Conditions
- This service is provided for ownership transfer requests for boats owned by individuals.
Required Attachments
- Fill out and sign the form
- Original ship ownership certificate
- Identity Card of the owner
- Ship nameplate
Requirements to transfer the ownership of pleasure boats and Dhows
- Copy of valid CPR for current owner (Seller)
- Copy of valid CPR for new owner (Buyer)
- Copy of notarized bill of sale or other documents attesting the transfer of ownership
- No objection letter from Fisheries at Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs for fishing boats
- Release of mortgage for mortgaged vessels
Legal Regulations
- Ministerial Resolution No. (2) of 2021 regarding registration and safety conditions and procedures for obtaining a navigation license for small ships whose gross tonnage is less than one hundred and fifty tons
Fees
- Boats Up to 21ft and conventional boats : 5 BD
- Boats More than 21ft - Up to 35ft : 10 BD
- Boats More than 35ft : 15 BD
- Other Marine Units : 20 BD
