Permit allowing foreign ships to work on projects located in Bahraini waters.

Required Attachments

  • Application form
  • A letter of assignment from the project owner confirming the participation of the vessel and the contractor in the project
  • A ship entry permit issued by Customs Affairs
  • Business plan
  • A navigational map showing the working area
  • Ship and crew certificates
  • Insurance certificates required for the vessel
  • Recent photo of the ship
  • No objection from the concerned authorities
  • Dredges must obtain a license to excavate marine sands from the Agriculture and Marine Resources Agency

Legal Regulations

  • General Direction No. 4: Permits for a foreign ship operating in Bahraini waters

Fees

  • 100 BD : Submission of application
  • 500 BD : Work permit for foreign ships
  • 1000 BD : Navigation permit for foreign ships
  • 100 BD per month : Extension of the validity of the navigation permit for foreign ships (for a period of less than one year)
