Apply for registration in the Roll of Lawyers
Registration of those individuals who meet the conditions required to practice the legal profession in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Required Attachments
- Completed registration form
- A letter requesting registration in the Roll of Lawyers that is to be submitted to the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf
- A letter from the lawyer who will supervise the training (required in the event of the individual’s registration within the Roll of Lawyers under training).
- A letter stating the legal experience of the applicant issued by the official authorities (for applicants registered in the roll of practicing lawyers or those licensed before the Court of Cassation).
- A Good Conduct Certificate issued by the Ministry of Interior
- Copies of a bachelor’s degree or a Licentiate in Law from a recognized university in the Kingdom
- A copy of the statement of validity of the certificate issued by the Ministry of Education (with the exception of graduates from the University of Bahrain)
- A copy of the Identity Card and passport.
- A personal photo
- Other explanatory documents may be requested according to the opinion of the Lawyers Registration Committee
Legal Regulations
- Ministerial Resolution No. (5) of 1981 regarding the implementation of the Advocacy Law
- Ministerial Resolution No. (19) of 1989 regarding the lists of lawyers before the Court of Cassation
- Decree-Law No. (26) of 1980 promulgating the Advocacy Law
- Decree-Law No. (39) of 1999 amending some provisions of the Advocacy Law promulgated by Decree-Law No. (26) of 1980
Fees
- 500 BD : Registration in the Roll of licensed lawyers before the Court of Cassation
- 300 BD : Registration in the Roll of practicing lawyers
- 250 BD : Registration in the Roll of Lawyers under training
