Apply for the reinstatement of dismissed lawyers

The service is for lawyers who have not paid their annual registration renewal fees, up until the end of the year for which the fees are due and therefore have been dismissed.

Required Attachments

  • A letter from the applicant requesting their reregistration within the Roll of Lawyers to be submitted to the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf
  • The receipt evidence of the payment of the new registration fee, as well as the late registration fee

  • Decree-Law No. (26) of 1980 promulgating the Advocacy Law
  • Decree-Law No. (39) of 1999 amending some provisions of the Advocacy Law promulgated by Decree-Law No. (26) of 1980
  • Ministerial Resolution No. (5) of 1981 regarding the implementation of the Advocacy Law

Fees

  • 250 BD plus arrears : Lawyer under training
  • 300 BD plus arrears : Practicing lawyer
  • 500 BD plus arrears : Licensed lawyer before the Court of Cassation

Service Processes

  • Submit the required documents either by sending them to the email of the General Registrar Office or in-person at the General Registrar Office
  • Pay the fees due
  • The request is then presented to the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf
  • A new license is sent to the applicant following the approval of the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf.
