Proof of divorce certificate
The certificate proves the continuation of divorce as of the certificate issuance date based on the testimony of witnesses.
Service Conditions
- Submit the form with the required documents to the email of the Sharia Procedures Department in a PDF format
- Add a Bahraini contact number for communication purposes
- To ensure the application has been submitted correctly, an email will be sent acknowledging receipt of the application
Required Attachments
- Copy of the marriage contract and the original divorce certificate (or a copy of it after the approval of the judge)
- The presence of two competent adult witnesses
- Copies of the Identity Cards of the divorcees and witnesses
- Foreign documents must be certified by the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs and translated into Arabic.

- Go to the website of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf https://www.moj.gov.bh and access the service entitled “forms”. Choose the relevant application form
- Print the application form, fill it out by hand, and attach the required documents
- Send the form and documents to the email of the Sharia Procedures Department: shareya.prosedures@MOJ.GOV.BH
- The applicant is contacted by phone to set a date to attend the court, in order for the process to be approved by the relevant judge
