Documenting marriage contracts concluded outside the court through the officiant
This service includes the documentation of marriage contracts concluded outside the court by an officiant and the issuance of the marriage document by the relevant judge.
Required Attachments
- Original application form for the issuance of the marriage contract document received from the officiant
- Original premarital medical examination certificate and a copy for the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf
- The original documents that the officiant leveraged to fill out the application form for issuing the marriage contract document
- Foreign papers must be certified by the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and all documents must be translated into Arabic
Legal Regulations
- Ministerial Resolution No. (1) of 2016 regarding the bylaw of marriage officers and the provisions of the attestation of documents related to personal status affairs
- Article (17) of the Judicial Authority Law issued in October 2002
- Decision No. (3) of 2004 issued by the Minister of Health regarding the rules, controls and procedures for the medical examination of those who are about to marry of both sexes
