Statement of marital status
Through this service, the applicant can obtain a statement of marital status based on the Ministry’s records.
Service Conditions
- Foreign documents must be certified by the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs and translated into Arabic.
Required Attachments
- Application submitted to the judge
- Copy of the applicant’s Identity Card
- The entity to whom the statement is directed

- Article (17) of the Judicial Authority Law issued in October 2002
- Decree-Law No. (14) of 1971 regarding notarization

Service Processes
- Send the form and documents to the email of the Sharia Procedures Department (Obligations): shareya.prosedures@MOJ.GOV.BH. The applicant is contacted by phone to set a date to attend the court, in order for the process to be approved by the relevant judge
- Submit the form with the required documents to the email of the Sharia Procedures Department in a PDF format
- Add a Bahraini contact number for communication purposes
- To ensure the application has been submitted correctly, an email will be sent acknowledging receipt of the application
