Issuance of a divorce certificate by agreement
The service of issuing a divorce certificate by agreement, which allows the applicant to register a divorce and declare it before the judge or register a divorce that took place outside the court with the agreement of both parties.
Service Conditions
- All foreign documents must be duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Additionally, all documents must be translated into Arabic.
Required Attachments
- Original marriage contract
- The original Identity Cards of the parties

- Ministerial Resolution No. (1) of 2016 regarding the bylaw of marriage officers and the provisions of the attestation of documents related to personal status affairs
- Family Law
- Article (17) of the Judicial Authority Law issued in October 2002
- Decree-Law No. (14) of 1971 regarding notarization

- Go to the website of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf https://www.moj.gov.bh and access the service entitled “forms”. Choose the relevant application form
- Print the application form, fill it out by hand, and attach the required documents
- Send the form and documents to the email of the Sharia Procedures Department : shareya.prosedures@MOJ.GOV.BH
- The applicant is contacted by phone to set a date to attend the court, in order for the process to be approved by the relevant judge
