Issuance of a sharia-compliant contract rescission (taqabul) document
A document issued by the Sunni Sharia Courts that proves the agreement of the contracting parties to rescind an official contract document between them that has been notarized before the Sharia courts. The document also proves that the assets subject to the rescinded contract are returned to their previous state and ownership (prior to the conclusion of the contract). The document is valid only within the time frame of the conditional gift (umra shariyah).
Service Conditions
- The applicant must be a principal or an official agent.
Required Attachments
- Completed application form for a legal document
- Copies of the Identity Card or passport of the administrator and the beneficiary (assignor and assignee)
- Copy of a property document
- Copy of the official power of attorney for any individual who delegates their representative to submit the application

- Ministerial Resolution No. (3) of 2017 regarding the procedures for issuing documents for which the Sharia Procedures Judge is competent

Service Processes
- Go to the website of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf https://www.moj.gov.bh and access the service entitled “forms”. Choose the relevant application form
- Print the form, fill it out by hand, and attach the required documents
- Send the form and documents to the email of the Department of Sharia (Obligations): shareya.research@moj.gov.bh
- Within 2 - 5 working days, the applicant will be contacted by phone to schedule a court appearance
- On the appointed date, the applicant shall visit the relevant court with the original documents submitted
