Application for licensing promotional campaigns and discounts
This service, provided by the Consumer Protection Directorate, allows beneficiaries from the commercial sector to obtain licenses to conduct promotional and discount campaigns.
Required Attachments
Promotional campaign documents depend on the type of campaign and the required documents are as follows
- Poster / Price List / Raffle Coupon, or Scratch & Win coupon, or Gift Vouchers- with attached Terms & Conditions / Agreement (if the campaign is outside the scope of the store) / Prize Bill/ Terms and Conditions of promotion if any/ Car Registration Form /agreements & Others depending on the nature of the promotional campaign.
Discount campaign documents
- Poster / Prices List with before and after Sale prices / Agreement if the campaign is outside the scope of the shop.

- Ministerial Resolution No. (1) of 1993 on promotional campaigns
- Ministerial Resolution No. (51) of 2007 regarding controls of discounts
Fees
Fees for withdrawals and special offers:
- 50 BD : Day to month
- 75 BD : More than one month - 3 months
- 125 BD : More than 3 months - 6 months
Withdrawal fees only:
- 30 BD : Branch - 3 branches
- 40 BD : 4 Branches - 6 branches
- 60 BD : More than 6 branches

Service Processes
- Submit the application online through the licensing service for promotional campaigns and discounts on the website of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism
- The documents are reviewed by the relevant authority
- A decision is made on the application
- The applicant is notified of the result and is issued a certificate of licensing to offer public discounts
