Request to abandon a trademark before registration

Service Conditions

Who has the right to file an application for neglect:

• The owner of the mark.
• The legal agent appointed by the owner of the mark and registered in the trademark registry.

Required Attachments

• Completed abandonment form
• Original power of attorney if the application is submitted by the agent, must be notarized and duly certified documents (translated into Arabic).
• A copy of the owner's ID, if an individual, must be duly notarized, certified, and translated into Arabic.

• Law No. (6) of 2014 approving the Trademarks Law (Regulation) of the GCC
• Ministerial Resolution No. (80) of 2019 cancelling fees charged for certain services contained in executive regulations of the Trademarks Law (Regulation) of the GCC issued by Ministerial Resolution No. (65) of 2016 under Law No. (6) of 2014
• Ministerial Resolution No. (13) of 2020 cancelling the fees imposed on certain services contained in the executive regulations of the Trademarks Law (Regulation) of the GCC promulgated by Law No. (6) of 2014 issued by Ministerial Resolution No. (65) of 2016
• Ministerial Resolution No. (58) of 2018 regulating the registration of industrial property registration agents
