Patent grant and publication service

Issuing a grant certificate for patent applications that meet all formal and technical conditions with approval after published in the Official Gazette, which a patent grant document be issued.

Service Conditions

Who has the right to apply:

  • The owner of the patent (a citizen or resident in the Kingdom of Bahrain)
  • The legal agent appointed by the patent owner and registered in the Agents Register

Required Attachments

  • Final specification in both Arabic and English

  • Law No. (1) of 2004 regarding patents and utility models
  • Law No. (14) of 2006 about amending some provisions of Law No. (1) of 2004 related to Patents and Utility Models
  • Ministerial Resolution No. (101) of 2018 issuing the executive regulations of Law No. (1) of 2004 regarding patents and utility models
  • Ministerial Resolution No. (82) of 2019 cancelling the fees imposed on certain services mentioned in Ministerial Resolution No. (102) of 2018 determining the categories of fees due for the registration of patents and utility model. , View Document
