Change the trade name (commercial company)

This service enables establishments to modify their commercial name or that of one of their branches registered in the commercial register, in line with their marketing strategies or legal developments.

Required Attachments

  • A decision from the company owner / meeting minutes of partners / a decision from shareholders to change the trade name of the first branch, or the decision of the board of directors or a manager to change the trade name of one of the company’s branches
  • Draft amendment of the memorandum of association / articles of association / declaration of incorporation related to the amendment of the article of the trade name, in the event that the trade name is amended for the first branch only
  • A notarized power of attorney if the applicant is an unrelated party to the Commercial Registration holder, or an unnotarized power of attorney if the applicant is a professional office or an authorized employee registered on the same registration

Service Processes

  • Investor submits an application through the SIJILAT system
  • Review the application by MOIC
  • The change to the commercial name is announced and the application is approved upon completion of the publication period
  • Notarized Amendment to the memorandum of association is submitted
