SME Registration System
The system provides SME with the opportunity to obtain the “SME Classification Certificate”, an official certificate accredited by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce that states the size of the enterprise and enables it to benefit from initiatives and the supportive programs for this category of enterprises.
Service Conditions
- The enterpise’s size must be micro, small or medium according to the criteria and requirements of the system
Required Attachments
- The audited financial statements report is required, and if it is not available, the following documents shall be acceptable:
For micro-enterprises
- Bank statements report for the last 3 months.
For Small enterprises
- Bank statements report for the last 3 months in addition to the in-house financial report of the last year.
Legal Regulations
- Cabinet Resolution 2416-06 of 2017, which includes the registration of qualified SME in a registry kept in the Ministry.
- Resolution No. (229) of 2017 on the classification of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

Service Processes
- Visit the website of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
- Choose the SME registration system.
- Choose the SME registration service and then sign in using the electronic key (ekey).
- Choose the branch to be registered.
- Fill in the data, attach the required documents and submit the request.
- Notifications are sent via e-mail after successfully receiving the application and approving it, if it is completed.
- Access the system and choose generate certificate in order to get or print the classification certificate.
