Substantive examination by the National Patents Office

Substantive examination is conducted by the National Patent Office, during which a detailed and comprehensive technical report related to the scientific field of the invention is issued. This report indicates whether the patent application has passed or not, along with related comments.

Required Attachments

  • The specification and final claims in both Arabic and English
  • Previous research and technical examination reports for the same request and documents responding to the examination report.
