Add an activity (commercial company)
Adding a new commercial activity to the Commercial Registration through the online SIJILAT system.
Required Attachments
- Notarized power of attorney if the applicant is an unrelated party, or an unnotarized power of attorney if the applicant is a professional office or an employee registered on the same record
- A decision from the company owner / meeting minutes of partners / a decision from shareholders or the decision of the board of directors or a manager depending on the type of the company and activity (similar or different activities)
- Draft amendment of the memorandum of association / articles of association / declaration of incorporation related to the amendment of the articles associated with the company’s object clause
Legal Regulations
- Commercial Companies Law issued by Decree-Law No. (12) of 2001 and its amendments with the executive regulations
- Commercial Register Law with the executive regulations

Service Processes
- Log in to the SIJILAT system and select the transaction
- Investor submits an application through the SIJILAT system
- The Registration Department of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism makes a decision regarding the application
- Approval is obtained from the licensing authorities
- Amendment of the memorandum of association is notarized by a notary
- Transaction fees are paid
- The amendment process is completed
