Annual registration for public transportation

Service Conditions

• Pay the registration fees
• Insurance from civil liability arising from accidents covering the validity period of the registration certificate
• The vehicle’s fulfillment of the requirements of security, durability and environmental safety. (Passing the technical examination) whether in the administration or any other licensed body.
• The vehicle must be technically validated before renewing the registration certificate.
• It is permissible to request its renewal more than once for a period of one year from the date of issuance

Required Attachments

• An official certificate from the Ministry of Transport and Communications that includes approval to renew the registration and specifying the type, class and specifications of the vehicle and the rules and conditions for its registration
• Authorization letter to submit the application.

• Minister of Interior Decision No. (154) of 2015 issuing the executive regulations for the Traffic Law promulgated by Law No. (23) 2014, and its amendments.

Fees

• 15 - 80 BD

Vehicle inspection fee

• 5 BD : Internal examination for each time
• 15 BD : External examination for each time

Annual vehicle registration fee by weight

• 15 BD : It weighs no more than 2.5 tons when empty
• 10 BD : Motorcycle
• 65 BD : It weighs more than 11 tons when empty
• 60 BD : It weighs more than 7 tons when empty and does not exceed 11 tons
• 36 BD : It weighs more than 5 tons when empty and does not exceed 7 tons
• 30 BD : It weighs more than 2.5 tons when empty and does not exceed 5 tons

Calculating the fee for delaying the registration certificate

• 0.5 BD : for each day starting from the day following the expiry of the registration certificate, with a maximum of 20 BD per year
