Lost / damaged Passport
This service is provided to Bahraini citizens to issue a new passport in case the original passport is lost or damaged.
Service Conditions
- Submit the application in person or through an authorized representative at Isa Town branch, or submit through eGoverment official website using your Ekey
- Payment must be completed within 30 days from the date of application approval; otherwise, the application will be automatically cancelled.
Required Attachments
Lost passport
- Select the department, followed by the type of service, and fill out the required fields
- Submit all required documents, including the application form.
- You will be contacted via video call if required.
- If approved, you will receive a text and email with a payment link.
- Receive your printed receipt and receipt number via SMS for confirmation.
- When your passport is ready, you will receive an SMS notification to collect it from the same service center where you applied.
Damaged passport
- Application form (personal attendance)
- Recent passport photo with a white background size 4x6cm (in JPG or JPEG format) attached separately
- Damaged passport
- Include Civil Defense Department report in case of fire damage
- If approved, you will receive a text and email with a payment link.
Legal Regulations
- Law No. (11) of 1975 regarding passports, and its amendments.
- Ministerial Resolution No. (15) of 1976 regarding the executive regulations concerning passports

Service Processes
- Visit the National Portal bahrain.bh and login with your eKey account
- Select the department, followed by the type of service, and fill out the required fields
- Submit all required documents, including the application form

- Access the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs website www.NPRA.gov.bh
- Select the department, followed by the type of service, and fill out the required fields
- Attach the required documents and the application form
- If the application is accepted, a text message and an email will be sent containing a payment link
- After payment is received, a text message containing the payment receipt will be sent
- When the passport is ready for collection, a text message requesting the applicant to attend the Isa Town branch will be sent. The applicant must present the original documents that were attached upon submission of the application
