Permit for designated smoking areas within enclosed public areas
This service is provided by the Ministry of Health to individuals and institutions requesting a permit to allocate an area for smokers inside closed places. The service is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (8) of 2009 on combating smoking and all kinds of tobacco.

Service Processes
- An engineering drawing of the building that specifies the proposed smoking area is submitted
- The owner of the building submits a letter to the Director of the Public Health Department requesting the allocation of a smoking area (cigarettes or cigars). Accordingly, an inspector visits the shop to ensure the health requirements are met
- In the event of approval or rejection of the application, a written response will be given to the applicant
