Licensing for holding sporting events and activities

The Legal Affairs and Licensing Directorate of the Authority is the relevant entity concerned with approving the holding of any activities or sporting events organized by any of the institutions, companies, clubs, sports federations, the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Bahrain Paralympic Sports Committee, or any of the private bodies working in youth and sports services, which are stated in the Law of Associations, Social and Cultural Clubs, Special Committees Working in the Field of Youth and Sports, and Private Foundations, issued by decree-law No. (21) of 1989.

Required Attachments

Licensing form to hold sporting events and activities.
Attach the necessary approvals from the entities where the event or sport will be held, provided that they comply with the terms and conditions issued by the Authority.
Provide detailed records for each of the event’s organizers, athletes, and wider participants.
The contingency plan for organizing sporting events and activities.

E-mail receipt of the request received at least one month from the date of the event.
Ensure that the application form is complete, including all required data and fees.
If the application matches the system, it will be sent to any other relevant authorities to complete the required approvals.
Obtaining the final response from the external entities.
Notification of acceptance or rejection delivered to the applicant.
In the case of approval, the event is recorded within the sports calendar.
