Service Processes

  • The student registers for his or her courses and makes modifications by dropping or replacing courses on their study plan, provided there are available places in the academic centre or department
  • If a course section is full, students can register to be on the waiting list, and their request will be sent to the head of the relevant department/academic centre, who then approves or rejects the request. This service is only applicable if all course sections are full, or if the available course sections conflict with the student’s registered courses.
  • If there are timetable conflicts, a request is sent to the head of the department/academic centre to allow the student to register for alternative timings. The head of the department/academic centre approves or rejects the request. This service is only applicable if multiple course sections are available.
  • Only graduating students are allowed to send a request to register courses that have conflicting final examination timings. Such requests are handled by the heads of the departments/academic centres, who will either approve the request (that is, make alternative arrangements for the student’s exam) or reject it if rescheduling is not feasible. Students who are not graduating are not permitted to request this service.
