Registration of purchase or sale a property

The SLRB Registration & Follow-up Directorate is responsible for completing property registration operations, beginning with the receipt of registration requests, verifying their validity, and ensuring the presence of all required data and attachments before entering them into the designated databases. The final registration phase results in the delivery of the title deed to the owner or concerned authority.

Service Conditions

Approval from the Urban Renewal Committee for properties located in Muharraq, Qalali, Budaiya, Al-Jasarah, Khalifa Town, or Zallaq
Approval from the Office of Director General at the Land Registration Directorate for properties located in Qudaibiya or Al-Hoora
Approval from the Royal Court for properties located in Riffa
must not Submitting the notarized contract one year after its notarization date.

Required Attachments

Original property title deed.
Original sale contract.
Copy of valid passport (for non- Bahraini).

Fees

1.7% of property value : will be collected as registration fees if submitted within 60 days from the date of the sale contract issued from the notary department.
2% of property value : will be collected as registration fees if submitted after 60 days from the date of the sale contract issued from the notary department.
Land registration form : costs one dinar for every transaction.
