Optional insurance registration

This service allows Bahraini insured persons who engage in self-employment or freelance activities inside the Kingdom, based on an official license or permit issued by the relevant authorities, to apply for optional insurance. This is done through a written request according to the prepared form. The provisions of the insurance against old age, disability, and death as stipulated in the law apply to them. The optional insurance includes:- Continuing insurance. Self-employed individuals / Freelancers / Employers' insurance branch.

Required Attachments

  • Optional Insurance Form
  • A copy of the Identity Card from both sides (front and back)
  • A copy of the individual’s passport
  • A Copy of CR

Legal Regulations

  • Decision No. (39) for the year 2014 to apply the insurance branch to the self-employed and the self-employed, and the insurance branch to employers
