Approval to use ionizing radiation sources
This service enables beneficiaries to submit a request to obtain approval for the use of a radiation-emitting device identified by its model and serial number, or a radioactive source specified by its chemical and physical properties, serial number, and date of manufacture. The permit ensures compliance with radiation safety requirements for workers, the public, and the environment, as well as adherence to the security requirements governing radioactive sources and nuclear materials. .
Service Conditions
- Having an active commercial register (for commercial use) in the Kingdom of Bahrain
Required Attachments
- Completed application form
- Medical checkup results (blood count test) for the designated radiation workers
- Proof of provision of tlds to the designated radiation workers
Legal Regulations
- Law (7) of year 2022 regarding the environment and all ministerial decisions and laws under it
- Ministerial Order No. (4) of 2021 regarding the fees of the licenses and services provided by the Supreme Council for Environment
