Marine reclamation projects licensing
This service enables beneficiaries to submit a request for an environmental impact assessment to identify the potential effects of marine reclamation on the reclamation site and the surrounding environment, and to ensure that projects comply with environmental requirements and regulations and preserve natural resources prior to the issuance of the permit. The request can be submitted and tracked electronically.
Service Conditions
- Having an active commercial register (for commercial use) in the Kingdom of Bahrain
- Provide the application form for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture
- Providing a map from the Survey and Land Registration Bureau showing the coordinates of the dredging site
Required Attachments
- Supreme Council for Environment Application form – EA-4
- The application form from the concerned Municipality, with an approved map attached to the site
- A map from the Survey and Land Registration Bureau showing the coordinates of the reclamation site
- A copy of a valid commercial register CR of the contractor
- Clear requested work site photos from different angles showing the surrounding activities related to the requested work site

Legal Regulations
- Ministerial Order No. 1 of 1998 regarding the environmental assessment of projects
- Ministerial Order No. (4) of 2021 regarding the fees of the licenses and services provided by the Supreme Council for Environment
- Law (7) of year 2022 regarding the environment and all ministerial decisions and laws under it

- 100 BD : Initial Assessment ; or BD 200 for Fast track applications
- 20BD : fast-track applications
- 100BD : Study Scope Phase
- 500 : Fast Truck Application
- 4000 : Environmental Impact Assessment Phase
- 6000 : Fast Truck - Environmental Impact Assessment Phase
