Certificates for Trade in Endangered Species - Import

This service enables beneficiaries to submit a request to import endangered species listed under the CITES Convention, such as parrots, falcons, deer, agarwood, rare animal skins, and others. Other domesticated species fall under the jurisdiction of the Agriculture and Animal Resources Affairs at the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs. The request can be submitted and tracked electronically.

Service Conditions

  • Having an active commercial register (for commercial use) in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Required Attachments

  • A copy of the cpr
  • A copy of a valid commercial register cr
  • Cites certificate
  • Other supporting documents, such as bird ring numbers (according to the species of the organism and the relevant annex)

Legal Regulations

  • Law No. 5 of 2021 regulating and controlling international trade in endangered species of wild plant and animal groups
  • Ministerial Order No. (4) of 2021 regarding the fees of the licenses and services provided by the Supreme Council for Environment
  • Law (7) of year 2022 regarding the environment and all ministerial decisions and laws under it
