Application to register excise goods
This service involves the receipt of applications for the registration of excise goods
Service Conditions
- Anyone wishing to deal in unregistered excise goods (importer of producer or warehouse) can submit an application to register them even if they are not registered for Excise purposes. and NBR approval of the request.
Required Attachments
To register the selected goods of the legal person:
- Copy of the list of goods to be registered, including details of each product (trademark, name of product, unit size and retail price)
- Purchase balance of excise goods
- Certificate of the product’s components issued by the manufacturer or supplier
- Images of the external form of the excise goods
Registering excise goods by an individual:
- Copy of the list of goods to be registered, including details of each product (trademark, name of product, unit size and retail price)
- Purchase balance of excise goods.
- Copy of the applicant’s Identity Card

Service Processes
- Send the registration application and supporting documents by email to excise@nbr.gov.bh
- If the registration application is approved, a specific code will be issued for each item. In all cases, the applicant will be notified of approval or rejection
- A decision will be made regarding the application within 30 days of submission. Failure to reply within this period is considered a rejection of the application
